In 2013 Brisbane Arts Theatre relives the romance, nostalgia and drama of Casablanca in a new format. Casablanca – A Radio Play brings to the stage one of popular culture’s most beloved films in the form of a radio play.
IF YOU knew a secret that could shatter a bride’s dreams the night before her wedding, would you tell? That’s the premise of Elizabeth Coleman’s Secret Bridesmaids’ Business, the first production for 2013 for Old Mill Theatre (WA), playing from February 1.
The popular comedy is set the night before Meg Bacon’s wedding in a hotel with her mother and bridesmaids, ready for one last night of girlie fun. But one lie could change everything – and the bridesmaids have to decide whether to reveal a secret about the groom.
Into the Woods (music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine) opens at the Gold Coast Little Theatre on 2 February, 2012, directed by Joshua McCann-Thomson with musical direction by Ethan Jones and choreography by Tess Burke.
“Into the Woods is one of those shows that music theatre nerds obsess over,” says young Gold Coast director Josh McCann-Thomson,” a big Sondheim fan.

The Mousetrap Theatre Company in Redcliffe, Queensland chose To Whom It May Concern by Daniel Keene as its entry into the Murrumba Drama Festival in 2012.
