THE 5TH ANNUAL GOLD COAST AREA THEATRE AWARDS
The Gold Coast had it’s real life “TONY” awards night on Tuesday December 10, 2013 at the Paradise Room, Arts Centre Gold Coast, with the Awards Patron, Aussie Showbiz royalty, Tony Sheldon and his partner Tony Taylor, present for the first time (a wonderful change after so many DVD messages from “Priscilla” dressing rooms in London or New York).
Once again the evening was hosted by Ian Stenlake.
The judging panel considered a total of 675 nominations, from 64 shows.
The Platinum Palm Award for Outstanding Contribution was won by Kim Reynolds.
The Gold Award for the show with the most nominations was Beenleigh Theatre Group’s World Premiere production of BILLY BUCKETT.
