Ruva Emulates Tina

On the eve of previews commencing at Theatre Royal Sydney night, the star of TINA - The Tina Turner Musical, Ruva Ngwenya, climbed to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in a special moment to honour Tina Turner, who did a similar climb in 1995 as part of the famous NRL promotion.

Ruva said of her Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb: “Paying homage to the great icon Tina Turner in this way was an exhilarating moment that I will never ever forget; words cannot describe how I felt.  I am so honoured to be stepping into the role of one of the best-selling artists of all time, my goal is to tell Tina’s story with energy, vibrancy and truth and I cannot wait to get on stage tomorrow night.”

Deb Zimmer, Bridge Climb CEO said “It was an absolute privilege to collaborate with Ruva and the exceptional team in bringing to life this unforgettable moment of Tina Turner, perched atop the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.”
