Heathers Musical For Hayes
Showqueen Productions and Working Management in association with Hayes Theatre Co present Heathers The Musical from July 16 to August 9, 2015, directed by Trevor Ashley, with musical direction by Bev Kennedy and choreography by Cameron Mitchell.
Westerberg High is ruled by a shoulder-padded, scrunch-wearing threesome: Heather, Heather and Heather, the hottest and cruelest girls at school. But misfit Veronica Sawyer (Jax Flowers) rejects their evil regime for a new boyfriend, the dark, sexy stranger J.D. (Stephen Madsen). When Heather Chandler (Lucy Maunder) kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to put the Heathers in their place – six feet under.
The cast also features Erin Clare (Heather McNamara ), Libby Asciak (Heather Duke), Vincent Hooper (Ram Sweeney), Jakob Ambrose (Kurt Kelly), Lauren McKenna (Martha / Ms Fleming), Mitchell Hicks (Ensemble / Dance Captain) and Michelle Barr, Rebecca Hetherington & Stephen McDowell (Ensemble).
For everyone who has ever longed to be in the 'popular' group, or dreamed of taking revenge on the cool kids, or even just for those who long for a better time, filled with shoulder pads, big hair and fluorescent colours.
Written by Laurence O'Keefe (Legally Blonde and Bat Boy: The Musical) and Kevin Murphy (Reefer Madness and Desperate Housewives) and based on the cult teen comedy film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, Heathers is the latest Off-Broadway hit musical to come to Australia.
