Fools!

Fools!
Pip Theatre, 20 Park Road, Milton, Brisbane. Produced by Allentertainment. 21st & 28th April, 2024

FOOLS! bursts onto the stage at Pip Theatre, offering audiences an uproarious evening of interactive entertainment. FOOLS! is mostly family-friendly, but brace yourself for a sprinkle of cheeky innuendos that'll have you chuckling into your popcorn.

Audience participation is the heart of FOOLS!, and it doesn't disappoint. From wacky games like "Beer Pom" (think beer pong meets gymnastics) or audience wide games of guess who, everyone got a chance to shine.

Led by the effervescent host, Mikee Joaquin, the atmosphere is electric with laughter and anticipation. With a personality as bright as the stage lights and dazzling dance moves to match, the host's boundless energy sets the tone for the night. Joaquin brought a genuine warmth to his charm and cheer and made every audience member feel like they were part of the show. Whether they were participating in a game on stage or cheering from the comfort of their seats, his enthusiasm was infectious. Plus, watching the host completely butcher the national anthem on an otamatone was comedy gold.

A highlight of the night was watching a particularly competitive couple make a mess of the stage. Provided with a bowl of crisps, a handful of mashed potato, and a few raw whole potatoes, they were each challenged to build the tallest potato tower they could. Bringing a hefty dose of competitive spirit and comedic chaos to the stage, the couple became the unexpected stars. As the clock struck down to zero, they panicked and tried to sabotage each other, only to send potato bits flying across the stage.

Despite a few rough edges, FOOLS! certainly delivers on its promise of a fun evening, and any technical hiccups were easily overshadowed by the sheer hilarity of the games. So, whether you're looking for a night out with friends or a unique team-building experience, this interactive game show offers an unforgettable opportunity to let loose and embrace your inner fool.

Will you be crowned The Ultimate Fool?
