Harvest Rain Season 2014
Queensland musical theatre company Harvest Rain Theatre’s 2014 season, their first full season as a fully professional company, was launched at an all singing and all dancing season launch on November 18, 2013.
Tony Award winning Musical Guys and Dolls at the Concert Hall QPAC from 20th March 2014 will star Ian Stenlake and Angela Harding (reprising their pairing from Oklahoma) as Skye Masterson and Sarah Brown, Gold Logie Winner Daryl Somers as Nicely Nicely Johnson, Wayne Scott Kermond as Nathan Detroit and Liz Buchanan as Miss Adelaide.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS will receive an Arena style production in the round at the Brisbane Convention Centre from 4th July 2014. Marina Prior will star as Grizabella (singing “Memory”). Around Ms Prior and a fully professional ensemble of 30, will be hundreds of Brisbane theatre actors & interns as The Kittens.
Monty Python’s Spamalot – never before professionally staged in Brisbane – will play at the Concert Hall QPAC from 2nd October 2014. Spamalot is lovingly ripped off from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Starring Jon English, Simon Gallaher and Julie Anthony. Jon English and Simon Gallaher join musical comedy forces on the QPAC stage for the first time since opening the brand new venue in 1985 in The Pirates of Penzance, with English strutting the boards as King Arthur, Simon Gallaher as Patsy; King Arthur's trusty servant/steed and constant companion, and Julie Anthony as the Lady of the Lake.
